When James and I moved into our home, we immediately started discussing switching out the hardware. You see, we have AMAZING original brass and crystal door knobs, but at some point in the home's history, most of the other hardware was changed to brushed nickel. While I love the clean, modern look of brushed nickel, I feel that installing understated aged brass pieces would be more appropriate for the home and the eclectic mid century style that I'm going for.
So, I am beginning the slow process of making that happen! I chose to start with the absolute easiest area- the laundry room doors. Only changing these allows me to live with the look without over committing to something I may regret. Basically, if I decide that I don't love the aged brass, I can easily just switch these out. Anyways, check it out!:

Aren't the new pulls gorgeous?! I find myself just looking at them and smiling. If you are interested in picking a couple of these babies up, I found them at Anthropologie. You can order them online, but I prefer to hand-select my hardware, so I went by my local store to get them. They actually come in two versions- a two bracket and one bracket version. I can't wait to move on to the next hardware project!

P.S.- Sorry for the poor photo quality and weird coloring in a couple of these shots. I used my phone to take them.
