Lately, I have been trying to come up with ways to upcycle elements from my wedding into my home. I hate the idea of all of the items that were purchased for our special day to go to waste now that the wedding has passed. So, I thought that I would share a super simple DIY idea that I came up with this past weekend.
For our wedding, James and I had Mr. & Mrs. chair banners created from burlap and black paint. I knew that there was potential to turn these into something else, and after thinking on it for some time, I decided to simply frame them!
To achieve this DIY, I grabbed some cheap frames from Michaels (at 50% off, they were two for $5). I then measured and trimmed the banners to fit, stuck them in the frames, and admired my work! It could not have been more simple and I just love they way they came out. I plan to hang these on either side of our bed when we move into our home in two weeks!
If you don't happen to have chair banners laying around, you could just pick up some burlap and paint to create this same look.
